Elkhorn Soccer Club & Elkhorn Athletic Association Announce Merger

Friends and Families of the Elkhorn Soccer Club:

ESC is dedicated to building a culture of excellence that aims to develop our children as athletes and people, both on and off the field. We are grateful to the parents, players, volunteers, and staff who have helped form ESC into a first-class organization. As we look to grow and serve the community going forward, we recognize the need to be a robust organization with state-of-the art facilities so all children can enjoy participating in a variety of athletic activities.

Therefore, we are excited to announce Elkhorn Soccer Club is merging with the Elkhorn Athletic Association, which has programs for baseball, softball, football, and basketball. Both organizations have similar missions, visions, and values that align to provide premier youth sports opportunities for kids throughout the greater Omaha area. The merger will combine knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate people who can provide our children with excellent learning environments that develop them to their full potential. Many of you have children who already play for EAA, so this will allow you to enjoy “one-stop shopping” where your kids can easily participate in multiple sports under a single organization.

In addition, this merger includes plans to develop a multi-sport outdoor community complex to address the lack of field space that both ESC and EAA have faced. The state-of-the-art complex will encompass more than 140 acres near 264th and Ida Streets off Highway 275. It will be a signature destination facility for outdoor youth athletics and community recreation that will include turfed, lighted soccer, football, baseball, and softball fields that we hope to open within two years. It will be easier for families who have children playing multiple sports to only have one location to go to for practices, games, etc. It will also serve as a regional destination for youth sports so families do not have to travel to other cities in order to enjoy the experience this type of facility offers.
